The Electrical Foundations Program is a 12-week, 192-clock-hour workforce training program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment or apprenticeship opportunities in the electrical industry. Students receive classroom instruction and hands-on lab training in electrical safety, electrical theory, hand and power tools, blueprint reading, National Electrical Code awareness, residential wiring, commercial wiring methods, conduit bending, electrical test equipment, troubleshooting, and workforce readiness.

The total tuition and required fees for the 12-week Electrical Foundations Program are $4,950. This amount includes all required tuition, curriculum, certifications, laboratory fees, and required instructional materials as outlined below.
A comprehensive, hands-on curriculum built for workforce entry across commercial construction, industrial maintenance, electrical service, and related fields. Every module stacks toward job-ready skills and industry-recognized credentials.

Comprehensive job-site hazard recognition, personal protective equipment, lockout/tagout procedures, ladder and scaffold safety, and electrical-specific NFPA 70E standards. Students earn the federally recognized OSHA-10 Construction certification — a credential required on most commercial and industrial job sites.
Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's laws, AC and DC fundamentals, three-phase power concepts, transformer principles, and electrical math for load calculations. Students learn to read and apply electrical schematics and one-line diagrams used in commercial and industrial environments.
Proper selection, care, and professional use of hand tools, power tools, digital multimeters, clamp meters, continuity testers, and specialty equipment. Includes calibration verification, safe meter operation on energized circuits, and tool-ownership planning for workforce entry.
EMT and PVC conduit bending, fabrication, and installation. Raceway systems, junction boxes, pull boxes, and cable tray fundamentals. Commercial lighting and power distribution, blueprint reading for commercial projects, and NEC code compliance for non-residential construction.
Introduction to motor control circuits, contactors, relays, overload protection, and ladder logic fundamentals. Students wire and troubleshoot basic control circuits and gain exposure to programmable logic controller concepts common in manufacturing and utility settings.
Systematic diagnostic techniques for electrical faults in commercial and industrial equipment. Preventive maintenance practices, bearing and motor inspection, thermal testing concepts, and safe troubleshooting procedures on energized and de-energized systems.
Branch circuit wiring, receptacle and switch installation, lighting control, GFCI and AFCI protection, service panel fundamentals, and residential NEC requirements. Students build functional residential circuits to understand principles that underpin all electrical systems.
Resume and portfolio development, interview coaching with industry partners, job-site professionalism, communication standards, and direct employer introductions. Students explore career tracks including commercial construction, industrial maintenance, electrical service, utilities, and low-voltage systems.
